Mayhawk values invention, respects intellectual property, and recognises the role of developing and improving industry standards. At Mayhawk our design, trade names, artwork and innovation is found deeply embedded in our Intellectual Property, including our Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights.

Mayhawk is known for its singular attention to detail, its creative use of natural ingredients and materials, its simple product lines and descriptive product names, its innovation in the industry, and a distinctive design and packaging. As such Mayhawk’s trademarks, trade names, service marks and trade dress are valuable assets.

We have worked hard to be unique in the industry and the information and guidelines below (and our Terms of Use page) are set out to protect our valuable trademark and service mark rights from infringement and strengthen our corporate and brand identities.

Trademark and Trade Dress. To help consumers identify between different goods and service providers a trademark can be a word, series of letters, artwork, pattern, sound, phrase, colour, symbol, or design. These are identifiable marks that distinguishes the source of the goods or services as belonging to a specific organisation. Also, as trade dress, it can be the appearance of a product or its packaging, including the size, shape, colour, texture, and graphics, (and trade dress can also be the appearance and design found in a retail store or website).

Infringement – the unauthorised use of a trademark, trade dress or service mark. Only Mayhawk and its authorised resellers and licensees may use the Mayhawk Trademarks, Service Marks, Trade Dress, Logo and Mayhawk-owned artwork and graphic symbols in products, services, advertising, promotional, and sales materials. Such authorised parties may use the Mayhawk Logo and Trademarks only as specified in their agreement with Mayhawk, (and any associated Guidelines) and such use must always be in conjunction with the appropriate terms that define the relationship authorised by their contract with Mayhawk. No other use is permitted.

Guidelines

1. Company, Product, or Service Name: You may not use or register, in whole or in part, Mayhawk, MAYH, or any other Mayhawk trademark, including Mayhawk-owned art, graphic symbols, logos, icons, or an alteration thereof, as or as part of a company name, trade name, product name, or service name except as authorised resellers.

2. Mayhawk Logo and Mayhawk-owned Graphic Symbols: You may not use the Mayhawk Logo or any other Mayhawk-owned graphic symbol, artwork, design, logo, or icon on or in connection with web sites, products, packaging, promotional and advertising materials, or for any other purpose except with an express written trademark license from Mayhawk, such as a reseller agreement.

3. Mayhawk’s Trade Dress: You may not imitate, or infringe upon, the distinctive Mayhawk packaging, artwork, web site design, logos, or typefaces. The words, letters and typeface of Mayhawk and MAYH should not be copied or implied in any way, neither should the distinctive artwork and overall design and feel of the Mayhawk packaging be copied. This is a clear trademark and copyright of Mayhawk Ltd.

4. Slogans and Taglines: You may not use or imitate a Mayhawk slogan or tagline. For example: “Beautiful Chocolate, by Design.”

5. Endorsement or Sponsorship: Mayhawk does not support the use of its trademarks, artwork, logos, company names, product names, or images of Mayhawk products by other parties in marketing, promotional or advertising materials as their use may create the perception that Mayhawk endorses or sponsors the product, service or promotion.

6. Disparaging Manner: You may not use a Mayhawk trademark or any other Mayhawk-owned graphic symbol, logo, packaging design, artwork or icon in a disparaging manner.
